Traditionally, after welcoming the new year, we CEBUANOS are very excited in celebrating the SINULOG festival. Wherein, CEBU is the center of attraction that even foreigners and some OFW's will be here just to witness the said celebration.
Enjoying the beat, dancing all along the streets and cheering loudly are the symbols on how benevolent the festival is. Delegates and Contingents that came from different places are the participants of the event. Wearing their costumes and bringing the image of SR. STO. NIÑO which is the center of all the activities. The main purpose of the CEBUANOS in celebrating this is to give thanks to SR. STO. NIÑO in all the blessings that we Christians received and protecting CEBU in all the calamities happened. Moreover, we traditionally doing this for the unity of all the people, not only here in CEBU, as well as in the different nation. Starting from the first novena down to the last novena, the BASILICA DEL STO. NIÑO are very crowded which only means that CEBUANOS are sincerely devoted to their patron especially, when they started singing the GOZOS and waving their hands momentarily:

This is how the CEBUANOS clinging and upbringing their own pride. They are doing this already in hundred times, even the coming of our next generation. That is how fantastic and vulnerable the CEBUANOS is
